Ampro was a proud sponsor of the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation's “Xtreme Combat Weekend Paintball Challenge” on October 16, 17, 18, 2009.
Ampro employees began the weekend checking
in to the Casablanca Hotel on Friday.  We had a
chance to meet the other sponsors and
participants at the paintball field located just
north of Mesquite, in Littlefield, AZ.   Later
that evening we enjoyed some dancing and
relaxing in the casino lounge.
On Saturday we began our morning at the paintball field
with the national anthem and a moment of silence to
remember our wounded and fallen soldiers.  At 9:00 we
began our first paintball game.  It was apparent, by the
number of welts on our bodies, that this was the first
paintball experience for most of us.
At noon, we had a chance to spend some time with Randy Couture at our
booth for autographs, photo op’s and to tell him about our company.  After,
we were able to play another game of paintball, this time playing with Randy.
We also provided several media interviews about our company and our
experience at the first Xtreme Combat Weekend.  Later that evening we
enjoyed watching live UFC and an after party back at the hotel.
Sunday, only the “dedicated” paintballers from team Ampro played another game
with Randy Couture, while the rest of us recovered in our rooms until 11:00.  We
ended our weekend around 2:00 after another media interview, a raffle, and
making plans for the next Xtreme Combat Weekend.
What an experience we had meeting the stars, and participating in an event
that will so greatly help our wounded GI’s.  Thanks to Randy Couture, all those
who helped arrange this weekend, and most of all the soldiers who protect our
freedom.
